After successfully completing an AFL Master\u2019s degree in English, German and Specialist Translation<\/strong> in Lille<\/a>, I launched my professional career with a salaried position in a large company<\/a> based in the region. In 1990 I decided to expand my horizons by working in the German city of Dortmund<\/a>, in the Ruhr, and I stayed for six years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent the following two years in Strasbourg before going home to Northern France to take up the position of translation department manager in a design office from 1999 to May 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2005 I fulfilled a long-held ambition to become a freelance translator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My professional experience as a salaried employee of various companies in France and Germany has given me unparalleled insight into the subtleties of corporate communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My goal is to provide clients with impeccable translations which are precise, pertinent and pleasant to read\u2009\u2013\u2009and delivered on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My passion for the German language<\/strong> started back in secondary school and has continued to grow over the last forty years. Word order being very different in German compared to French, translating<\/strong> between this pair of languages requires a certain mental agility which I find particularly stimulating. I enjoy the daily challenge of producing very readable copy for French speakers. If, on the other hand, you are looking for translation from French into German<\/strong>, I can recommend a translation professional who is a German native and a regular and close collaborator of mine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
